Emerging thoughts…

Art requires stability and an open heart. It means keeping my brain uncluttered and free from self-judgement. It’s a magical feeling as my imagination soars, returning to remember what emerged in the dreamtime. As my spirit is free to wander, memories rise to meet me, each invoking wonder that dares my fingers to return the Dream to life.

The Flow is Time….

A poet once wrote, "If not us, who? If not now, when?"

Today my response has to be, "If not us, no one. If not now, never."

The time for transformation is at hand and in our hands.

How is it November?

How is it possible that it’s October 2021?

Today I am packing boxes for an upcoming move, and while anticipating being in the countryside after four-years in the heart of Marbella, I find my longing for healing and health overflowing.

LOOKING INTO TIME

The Love Knot is a never-ending arc, and like Time can be imagined as a cycle, a flowing river where endings are indistinguishable from beginnings.

The next time you think about paying someone to climb a psychic stepladder to look into time, expecting them to come down and accurately report back what they saw, think about this.

The minute they look ahead Time rearranges everything which is why what they see may indeed happen but seldom does it fit the predicted timeline.

Be present in the present for this is where the Universe leaves the most precious gifts.

DISTRACTIONS

Today, like most days, I find myself dealing with the challenge of distractions. It comes in the form of noise rising from the world that feels ever more unreal, and the mundane demands like laundry. All this plus the need for rest and sleep, the essentials to healing and health, is sometimes a bit overwhelming until I remember to breath.

GRACE

Personally, grace is knowing that I’m able, willing, free and welcome to appropriately express whatever I’m feeling and experiencing in the moment.

Doing so lets me tap into the Source of compassion for myself and others. This, being in touch with all that is Divine, keeps my body, heart, mind and spirit healthy so I’m free to celebrate the joy that abounds in genuine realationships!

GRATITUDE

In the last few months I’ve come to realise anew just how small Gaia, our beautiful home, truly is.

Restricted to my home, having to hide my face behind a mask, to protect my health and that of those I love and maintaining a physical distance is not easy.

Life’s new rules and regulations continue to make me acutely aware of my patterns, attitudes and habits. They also make me remember how essential human touch is to my health and well being. Without hugs and touch, my garden has been my salvation. During this long emotional winter gardening on my terrace as kept me in touch with myself and Mother Nature. Getting my hands into dirt —even if it is a pot— planting seeds, watering them, watching them break ground to reach for the light, eventually flower and produce fruit has been as much a joy as enjoying what they produce.
