The planet faces an extinction crisis and humanity’s unrelenting pressure on natural ecosystems is a top cause. Earth, Gaia, is a living entity, and she is our ultimate life-support system.
From my perspective humans have survived because we’re born adaptive, however, this evolutionary gift has nothing to do with the manipulative techniques many have honed to an art.
AGENTS OF CHANGE emerged after spotting an unexpected visitor sitting in the ficus tree on my terrace! A chameleon! In your mind’s eye, turn the gold image 90°s counterclockwise, and the simpler green echo 90°s clockwise and you’ll see her leg and the arch of her body.
Thoughts and feelings flowed beside my tears while creating this pair, produced during my 97-Day Covid-19 Lockdown. May it serve as a reminder about the absolute necessity for each of us to heal our relationship with Mother Earth. It is time for us to change our attitudes and behaviour to align with her health and wellbeing.
